STARKWEATHER BIOGRAPHY
Starkweather is a metal and hardcore band from Philadelphia. They formed in 1989 and have released three studio albums, some songs on compilation albums and a split 7" (with Season to risk). Their first record, Crossbearer, is an underground classic that has been an influence on bands such as Converge and Dillinger Escape Plan. In fact, Dillinger's bass player even played with Starkweather for a while. Crossbearer and Into the wire were released in the first half of the 90's but they have recently released a new album, Croatoan, after a long period of low activity. Most of the songs on Croatoan were written long before and some are new versions of previously released songs.
The band is currently in the process of writing recording new material as well as playing shows every now and then.
