BESTIA BIOGRAPHY
Founded in the spring of 2000 in Tallinn, capital of Estonia, Bestia has marched through several lineup changes, played numerous gigs, appeared on six compilations and released two demo and two promo disks. Demo 2001 and Promo 2003 were voted to the Top 10 on their release year by the listeners of Estonia's best nationwide metal radio-show Metallion. Demo 2001 was also re-released and distributed worldwide by various underground labels. In 2004 saw the light Bestia's debut album "Hallutsinatsioon",
what was made available for wider audience by Perverted Taste Records (Germany) in 2005. Latest output is a limited three track demo "Õiglaste tulek".
Bestia's music can be described as black-death metal with elements of thrash metal and with some diverse experimental feeling. You will hear both aggressive and melodic parts with tempo varying from slow to chainsaw-speed blasts. Lyrical themes also differ, newer songs are strongly influenced by nordic folklore and mythology. All of them are written and performed in Estonian language.
Bestia is an active live band with aggressive show. After departure of former singer in spring 2006, vocal parts were
split by other bandmembers and band continues with new power as four piece. All guys have been involved into various extreme metal bands before. They have shared stage with most of Estonian metal groups (too many to mention) and many foreign acts (Skyforger, Let Me Dream, Archgoat, Enochian Crescent etc.). The latest important events were Kilkim Zaibu 7 open air folk/metal festival in Lithuania and mini tour in Estonia together with Dead Shape Figure (FIN).
