1. The One Worth Dying For

music by Stefan Schmidt & Bastian Emig, lyrics by Stefan Schmidt

Times and places, bounded spaces are killing me inside. There are these days where I just feel like I should rather hide. Secret dreams, forbidden nightmares are buried deep in me. Waiting to come out and to drink the last drop of blood in me.

I always dream of someone at my side, we’re standing on a mountain high. And I wonder if there is someone that it’s worth dying for. If there is someone worth dying for.

The nightmare returns, my grip gets tighter, but I’m so far away. I would die a thousand times if only I could stay.

Perhaps there is place down in the sea, perhaps a place beyond, where we can stay and we can hide from the rest of the world we know.

In the darkest night, I want to be at your side, standing on a mountain high. And then I know that there is someone that it’s worth dying for. That you are the one worth dying for.

2. Shadowtaker

music by Stefan Schmidt & Bastian Emig, lyrics by Stefan Schmidt

I have seen a million places, a thousand faces that are passing by. And I thought I knew them all from the other side.
This story ends tonight.

Tonight they rise again to stand alone. And when the sun comes nearer everyone will fear her, she’s the one who took the shadows far away.

They have seen a million places, a thousand faces that are passing by. But never they could turn away, and so they screamed their silent cry.
This story ends tonight.

3. Fear Of Fear

music by Stefan Schmidt & Bastian Emig, lyrics by Stefan Schmidt

Once upon a time there was a man brave as men can be, strong enough to show the world what he wanted to be: throughout his life alone! He showed his courage every mile he walked away from home to new castles made of stone, as I said, he remained alone!

But one very cold winter’s night, he walked alone, darkness at his side, neon black hands came from within:
the fear of fear then was gripping him,
the fear of fear then was gripping him.

From then on he always thought about this night, he thought of a nightmare he could fight back, but he wasn‘t the same. Every hour, every minute, every day, he thought of someone he could pray to, to take his pain away.

And then every cold winter’s night, when he walked alone, darkness at his side, neon black hands came from within:
the fear of fear then was gripping him,
the fear of fear then was gripping him.

4. Jester's Funeral

music by Stefan Schmidt, Heiko Höhn, Bastian Emig, lyrics by Stefan Schmidt & Heiko Höhn

Laughing, howling and in rage, they keep him caught in his painful cage. Never let him go, and torturing him, but he has his smile to show.
Laughing, howling and in vain, when they go insane, they give him a hail of blows. But he has to carry on until the shadows come to cover his poor, poor soul.

He only wanted fame, now pale bones remain in the icy grave. Nobody mourned for him, he was all alone, but he was strong and brave.
Making fun, damned to laugh, never time to rest, jests followed by jests. Welcome to the other side, it’s a place to hide, and your soul revives in death.

It’s a jester’s funeral. Buried with a grin. Blackness falls on him. A jester’s funeral.

5. Devil Die

music by Stefan Schmidt & Bastian Emig, lyrics by Stefan Schmidt

Day by day I’d like to scream for reaching out again! Back to places I have seen, straight back into hell!
No way out, I’ll see it every day. I am chained, so please show me the way out of here!

Night by night they come again, reaching out for me! Grinning faces, so frightening, a nightmare for me to see!
No way out, I’ll see them every night. I am chained, so please show me the way out of here!

Let the goddamned devil die!

Life by life all is the same, feel them creeping in. who is who, and who’ll die first? Your agony within!
No way out, I’ll see it every life. I am chained, don’t try to show me the way out of here!

6. Hands Of Time

music by Stefan Schmidt & Bastian Emig, lyrics by Stefan Schmidt

See me try to say: "Come and embrace me." My fantasy it will make me carry on. What have we done? We ignore the hands of time and whatever there may come, I know where I am from...

I am born in a different world. I am born in an older place, somewhere beyond. I am born in a different world. I am born in an older place, somewhere beyond our time.

I have seen the end: Black and eternal it lay there in front of me. I turned around and left this ugly place. We ignore the hands of time and whatever there may come, I know where I am from...

From the icy lakes I escaped and I reached this final place. This is not how it was meant to be...

7. The Assassin

music by Stefan Schmidt, Heiko Höhn, Bastian Emig, lyrics by Stefan Schmidt & Heiko Höhn

A hail of blows and one of those wipes out a god forsaken name. Can’t hear his cries, I can’t look into his eyes, my father’s son, my mother’s blame...

My darkest hour, scared by my power, this kind of life is a kind of hell. No way to choose, I’ll always lose, I’m the Assassin I know so well.

I am better, listen to them; they told me when I was young. I am better, listen to them, I want to stay strong.

I am the Assassin, keep me away from the light, cover my pain inside, keep me away from the light, I am my only friend beside.

Blood on my hand, can’t understand, what is the power that makes me kill? I’m on the run, and I can’t escape from what I’ve done. Killed by my hand against my will...

No decision, my only mission is to deny my morality. It was meant, from heaven sent: I’m the Assassin for all eternity.

8. Pilgrim's Path

music by Stefan Schmidt, Heiko Höhn, Bastian Emig, lyrics by Stefan Schmidt

The old man, in his oaken chair, he turns around, his eyes turn up to me. Older tales, many years engraved in him, mirrored in him, for all to see.
As I see him there, grey and empty, I know, I am still alive. My mind is full of little pieces, waiting to be found. All to be found, on my only human ride, all to be found, listen, one by one.

My body’s roaming now, looking for ages to be found. I dream of valleys far beyond.
I will come again, like the storm I will return, I’ll follow this pilgrim’s path to the end

He knows everything, now that’s too much for me, there’s is so much left to see. I am not afraid when my end is near.
I’ll murder the fear, because I will come again.
I’ll murder the fear, when I become him.

9. Graveyard

music by Stefan Schmidt & Bastian Emig, lyrics by Stefan Schmidt

The western sky is already darkened, the air is gloomy, the wind is black. The ice-cold hand of darkness is gripping your neck.
Feel the coldness filling your body, above your head the moon shine’s bright. It’s painting the scenery in an unreal light.

As the clock strikes twelve you find yourself in an empty room, starring upon the graveyard, your fear keeps growing as you get to see...

All your nightmares lie in the dark, I feel sorry for thee.
They were prisoned to long, my son, now they won’t let you be.
Try to hold them down on the ground; try not to listen to them.
Your inner voice is talking to you, trying to drive you insane.
It’s not the fear of what is beyond, what might come in your way.
Kill the fear of everyone, who tries to kill your day, come on, no one’s in your way.

This night isn’t what it used to be before the storm came up in the sky, before the rain washed away your cries. Soon the next sunset will cover you and all your hope may be gone right there. But you must hold on, listen, take care...

10. Mirror

music by Stefan Schmidt & Bastian Emig, lyrics by Stefan Schmidt

Why are you crying brother? Where are the nails that will be hammered in? Are you lying brother? You carry the hammer; you will forgive your sins.

But you have done everything to make you weak, to let him grow, the one who waits for you. Let him tell you what is gone, what is lost, and what will never come again.

Now look into the mirror, and then tell me what you see: "An old man suffering, his time has come, oh lord this man here is me..."

You have waited for the night to bring the day down, to let the light be killed by dark doom’s hands. Now it’s your turn, tell them who you are who you’ve been and now you are again...

You looked into the mirror, and you told me what you saw: "An old man suffering, his time has come, oh lord this man here is me..."
