Of Ages Ere The Sun

"Of Ages Ere The Sun" (2001 Demo)

1. Seeker Of All Wisdom & Knowledge (A Journey Beyond The Star-Realm)
2. A Winter Solstice - Hymn To The Fallen
3. The Ages Ere The Sun (Instrumental)
4. Of Skyfire Burning Deep
5. Abyssic Wrath Of The Death-Philosophy (Once A Proud & Ancient Civilization)

1. Seeker Of All Wisdom & Knowledge (A Journey Beyond The Star-Realm)

Seeker of all Wisdom & Knowledge
(a Journey beyond the Star-realm)

"Ever yearning for a higher degree of existence
A higher level of (in)consciouness..."

Haunting memories of past deeds
ablaze the mind, bind the senses
Yet the wisdom seeker flows on
High above mankind he soars

(Floating on a streamless river of dark blue...
Dimensions roll and with them do you)

Cosmic dimensions revealed;
the dark path, trodden in ice & wit
enlightened by the wisdom of the stars
Orion above with its shining majesty
And a wintry lunar eclipse...

Superiority draws forth, unseen
A creative force in rapture
throughout the nine worlds
A force so mighty, vision deceiving
The secrets of creation unveiled,
once again the wisdom seeker prevailed...
"Lurking deep in shadows,
commanding forth winds of benighted wizardry"

Chorus:

Seeker of all...Wisdom & Knowledge
Seeker of all...Wisdom & Knowledge

(Alas! You cannot behold him
But when the time comes...
Be sure you'll notice the crimson dust)

For aeons and constellations came and went
the realm beyond the stars--- a spiral portal

"Thou shalt never know thee
for forth thee walks, unseen;
But when thy mind turns thither
read on secrets of what ye could never have been..."

Chorus

2. A Winter Solstice - Hymn To The Fallen

A Winter Solstice - Hymn to the Fallen

Through the mountains paths where once where the warriors
over landscapes of green we set forth our feet
together marchin´ through boughs & stone,
the fulfilling scent of the damp woods
cleansing our inners with its nightly air

(It is now but two months after Samhuin…)

Gathered to find the Ancient Spirit
United to honour the Elderly Ones

On the top of this misty white mountain
Aye… our bones are now freezing cold
Let the ice burn our souls
And the flames... freeze our hearts

(for the Pagan circle of Fire must now be alit)

The Supreme Art shalt thus be summoned
As we feel the immortal pride
For to be one of the few chosen for enlightenment
is none too short of a privilege to hide…

(The Gleaming Black of the Moon…!)

And thus, in the shortest of all days
...we transcend the barbican
and without peril commune with
...the long deceased
like a dream so profoundly real
Breathing the Arcane air…
Behold, even the trees are dancing
(dancing) to the brave wind's epic song!

Once men of great deeds did gather
protected were they by ancestral deities
And now we welcome the arctic season
in our souls that since long turned to ice
and praise them in sheer rapture
a majestic winterspell under these cloudy
angst-driven skies

Chorus:
A Winter Solstice - when dark is bright
A Winter Solstice - marvel at its sight
A Winter Solstice - a Full Moon´s plight
A Winter Solstice - drown in the Night

(Down are the weak and feeble, afeared to Lethe…
So assume the port of Mars,
Exhale your sword for the Heathen Pride!)

3. The Ages Ere The Sun (Instrumental)

4. Of Skyfire Burning Deep

Of Skyfire Burning Deep

May the skies open
let our faces be washed away
with black waters, alkaline & freezing

Let us now escape from this
mournful monotony
life... a process thus revealed
(Again and again, we shall arise)
arise... into endless infinity

In dark waters shall we bathe
yet again, as we`d done aeons ago
Wretched souls left grimly wandering
like specters of a long-dead kingdom
And so great & mighty, the dismal sky
whither we shall return to,
when the day arrives

Chorus:

Skyfire... burning deep
Skyfire... burning

So I shall fight til the last drop
to let not the flame of life be shut...

My dark awakenings, abandoning my own self
in search of other worlds
not of sorrow & demise, yet of a star wintry cold;
leaving me as dead to this outer parallel

Chorus.

"Mother Earth, at one I am with thee.
United under heathen skies
Conquering... the gnosis of the stars"

5. Abyssic Wrath Of The Death-Philosophy (Once A Proud & Ancient Civilization)

Abyssic Wrath of the Death-Philosophy
(Once a Proud & Ancient Civilization)

(Voice of the Elder wizard:)
"Aeons ago… the primordial firmament
silently beheld a mighty vision in awe!"

Our old continent, both witness and creator
of many a proud and brave folk,
was shining with its ethereal and Nordic lights
And, in ritualistic circles, occult riddles
were somberly unveiled…

Bathing in ice-cold rivers by the starlit night
Galloping on the fronts by the shivering light
Brave Europa, with our kin shinning bright
United we stood when need appeared to fight
…and how the ale flowed through centuries of Old!

(Oh, os tempos antigos… Honra, glória e pureza;
a luta pelo nosso estandarte continuará,
com a chama de novo acesa!)

Chorus:

Abyssic Wrath… of the Death Philosophy
Tears blurring our vision, Lethe in our swords
To the Strife!

Our descendants, nobly raised
Swearing since young the oath of faith
Pride for the protection of our Pagan Gods
Utterly despising the Xtian "god"

(On a journey through time & space…)

A myriad centuries later, the need is now stronger
Clearly what we had is ours no longer
Time hast come to avenge their mourning´souls
Take back what's ours, put to the sword the weak ghouls
