ZX SPECTRUM BIOGRAPHY
Native to a very unusual destination for metal, Latvia, ZX Spectrum pick it up where Carcass' Swansong left it. The band combines aggressive technical riffs with Jeff Walker inspired vocals and adds a light progressive touch to a distinctive collection of songs that has been in a constant developing since the band formed in early 2001.
ZX Spectrum’s musical direction has been defined as death rock, death’n’roll or melodic death. Still the band doesn’t limit itself and go as far as making a cover of a Swedish pop band Roxette that with a number of original Carcass, In Flames and Arch Enemy songs became highlights of many of the band’s live shows.
To date the band has been playing extensively in the Baltic region, often as a support act for many cult metal bands, and is to extend their touring schedules to other European destinations in the nearest future.
