The band WinterDome, founded in 1996, forges with its concept album a link between deeply stirring Gothic Metal, driving Medieval Rock and a gripping, yearning, and melancholic fantasy tale.

The release of the Hanoverians first 4 track EP 'Moravian or a gods dawn' in 1997 was closely followed by appearances in venues such as the Wave-Gotik-Treffen, or on the supporting bill of In Extremo, gathering ample live experience. In 2003 the band decided to give a new form to their stage and music concept, and so after much effort and painstaking attention to detail the synthesis of 'Weltendämmerung' (Twilight of the world) emerged. Together with the narrator, Dr. Bernd Seestaedt, the tragic tale about the people of the Elasaj opens up a gateway to a different, as yet undisclosed world. The events taking place around the heroic main character, Ashaj, grow during the 70 minute long spectacle into an intoxicating mixture of battle clashes and dreamy moments of individual protagonists.

Numerous concerts taking place in early 2006 gave confirmation to the musical and visual large-scale project in its uniqueness: The response by both audiences and the promoters was overwhelming.

The atmospheric songs, which in places are reminiscent of My Dying Bride, Haggard or the old Paradise Lost, are certain to fascinate Metal and Gothic fans as well as fans of Fantasy and Live Role games.

Willkommen in einer Welt der Mythen, Legenden und magischen Momente. Die 1996 gegründete Band WinterDome schlägt mit ihrem Konzeptalbum Weltendämmerung eine Brücke zwischen ergreifendem Gothic Metal, treibendem Mittelalter-Rock und einer fesselnden, sehnsüchtig-melancholischen Fantasy-Geschichte.

Bereits nach der ersten 4-Track EP 'Moravian or a god`s dawn' von 1997 sind die Hannoveraner unter anderem auf Schauplätzen wie dem Wave-Gotik-Treffen oder im Vorprogramm von In Extremo zu sehen und sammeln dadurch reichlich Live-Erfahrung. 2003 beschließt die Band ihr Bühnen- und Musikkonzept neu zu gestalten, woraus nach mühevoller Kleinstarbeit und der Liebe zum Detail das fulminante Gesamtwerk 'Weltendämmerung' entsteht. Gemeinsam mit dem Sprecher Dr. Bernd Seestaedt eröffnet die tragische Geschichte um das Volk der Elasaj das Tor in eine andere, bisher unerschlossene Welt. Die Ereignisse der Helden- und Titelfigur Ashaj wachsen während des 70minütigen Spektakels zu einer berauschenden Mixtur aus kämpferischen Auseinandersetzungen und den träumerischen Momenten einzelner Protagonisten.

Zahlreiche Konzerte im Frühjahr 2006 bestätigen das musikalisch-visuelle Großprojekt in seiner Einzigartigkeit: Die Resonanzen bei Publikum und Veranstaltern sind überwältigend.

Die atmosphärischen Songs, die stellenweise an My Dying Bride, Haggard oder die alten Paradise Lost erinnern, dürften Metaller und Gothic-Fans ebenso faszinieren wie Anhänger von Fantasy und Live-Rollenspielen.
