The Seventh Gate, a DC area Black/Death metal band, was formed by Steven F. Kerchner (vocals), along with Nick Ellis (guitar), Michael Beer (drums), and Edson Guerro (bass) they released a demo entitled The Bane Of Your Existence, None So Bloody As The Kingdom Of Christ (full length) in 2001, and a Satan Rock Demo all in 2001, then released Cheap Sex and Painkillers in 2003, after which Guerro and Ellis left and guitarist Toad joined the band. They then recorded a demo, Portrayal of an American Terrorist in 2004 and later released Foilie a Trois in 2006.
