THE ABSENCE BIOGRAPHY
In fall 2001, with ease of forming due to previous bands that founding members Patrick Pintavalle and Jamie Stewart felt were lacking. Within a year they had found a drummer, Justin Grant. Through this practice they had met Christopher Tolan who they also landed a spot on guitar. Eventually after a benefit performance support Six Feet Under with conflict that had arisen between members and friends, Jamie and Patrick parted ways with the rest of the band. After short time they decided to ask friends, Jeramie and Peter who agreed without hesitation. After a month they found a bassist that they were content with being, Nicholas Calaci. The band than went into studio in late 2004 and months later came out with the EP entitled: From Your Grave. Since, the piece has been getting great acclaim and is well known of those who are fans of the ever more fan increasing; Melodic Death/Thrash genre. Melding forms of early thrash with that of Swedish melodic metal. The Absence stands amongst many..but continues to rise.
The new album "Riders Of The Plague" was released in early August of 2007
