TARPIT BIOGRAPHY
Tarpit is a fast hardcore band from Virginia Beach, VA. Formed in 2003 they have since released a demo, split 7" with Victim (also from Virginia Beach) and two 7" EP's, entitled "Wake Up" and "Checkmate". A CD/LP, "Vultures", is due to release in the Fall of 2006. Most of their releases have been done by Collapse Records and blossoming label out southern California.
(2.) Also the name of a sludge band from Baltimore, MD. Slow and dark, with groove parts and melodic moments. Songs to tend to be bleak and usually metaphorically about various prehistoric beasts.
