Svidgar brings a clear mix of joyfull melodies and battlesongs within a collar of strong metal. To be short: Epic viking battle metal. This means that our music is based on happy folkriffs in combination with powerful metal with tight drums. Svidgar was, after changing some things in the line-up, mid 2004 born in s-Hertogenbosch, The Netherlands.

After experimenting a while, Svidgar decided to be a folkmetalband and the melodic and heroïc aspects became the most important things in their music. This gave birth to the song "Northland Warrior", a melodic and fast, though heavy, song that is about northern warriors who battle to stay alive. After a period of songwriting and rehearsals, the band recorded a demo. This demo contains four songs that all can be listened to on this website.
