In the autumn of 2005, Rugiewit started his second musical project with the creation of Slavogorje (Hills of Slavs / Hills of Glory). His major lyrical themes were ancient Slavic history, traditions, religion, Pan-Slavism, and nature. In the beginning, Slavogorje was defined as a solo dark ambiental project, and the first songs dedicated to Slavism and nature were made: "Posveta Šumi" (Consecration to Forest), "Jelenov Poj" (Deer's Song), "Obeščašćen (Perun)" (Dishonoured - Perun) i "Vatre Poganih" (Pagan Fires).SLAVOGORJE GENRES
Major changes in the concept were made in the beginning of 2006, when the project was joined by four new members. To the present day, the band has kept the same line-up: Rugiewit (vocals, keyboards, piano), Mjestatc (guitar), Banik (bass), Arya (vocals), and Verg (drums).
This marked the evolution of the band from the folklore and paganism inspired dark ambiental to the pagan black metal with ethno ambiental elements in the Slavic spirit. Due to technical problems occurred as a result of a large distance between band members, the sessions did not start until August 2006, when the work on the first demo under the name of "Bogovi Šume" (Gods of Forest) began.
After the release of the demo, the band plans to send the material to several foreign black metal labels. The first live concert is planned for the beginning of 2007. In the meantime, the band will begin work on the new material.
After some problems and dealings, Slavogorje has the following line-up:
Rugiewit (vocals, keyboards, piano)
Zaria (flute, guest-member)
