SACRED CRUCIFIX BIOGRAPHY
Sacred Crucifix is an deathrash act from Finland. The band was formed in 1987 under the name Criminal Assault and released a 3-song demo (Janne on drums, Tommi and Sami on guitar, Miku on bass and Hannu on vocals). In 1988 they changed their name to Sacred Crucifix, fired Hannu, while Miku and Tommi took over vocals. The next year they recorded a demo and began gaining more and more fans. In 1990 they made a promo tape, got some label offers, but they fell through. The band then fell apart after Tommi and Janne enrolled into the army.
In 1993, the band reformed and made a promo tape the next year (Janne on drums, Tommi and Jarkko on guitar, Essi on bass and Tommo on vocals). In 1996, the band was put on hold once again.
In October 2002, the band began rehearsing again and wrote new material (Janne on drums, Tommi and Jukka Kyrö on guitar and Miku on bass and vocals). Jukka had no time to play with them, so he left and they hired Tero as the new axe-man. In May 2003, the band recorded a 4-song promo. After the studio sessions Tero left, and later the same year the former member Sami was recruited to replace him.
