SACRECY BIOGRAPHY
Sacrecy is a young gospel band from Finland's Lempäälä. Their style could be labeled as Christian melodic metal with elements from progressive rock and power metal.
In the year 2002 Panu Siik and Olli Hipeli had an idea of forming a band. Both being metalheads it was pretty obvious that it would be a metal band. Panu and Olli asked their friend Antti Viitanen to join the band as a bassist.
The idea of the band was left held for some time, until due to the change in the way of thinking caused by a confirmation camp in the summer of 2003, the band was recalled and in the early 2004 Juho Fabrin joined as a drummer and the band got a rehearsal place from the church of Lempäälä.
At first the band was experimenting with a female vocalist, but they thought that male vocals would fit the style of the band better. Panu decided to take care of the vocals. To ease the guitar work, Heikki Mäkinen from Unseen joined as a rhythm guitarist.
Thanks to Jussi Salo, in February 2005 Sacrecy went to Fantom Studio to record a two song promo-cd. Shortly after that Antti Viitanen had to leave the band. Their debute album is currently in production.
