PROFANE OMEN BIOGRAPHY
PROFANE OMEN was founded at the end of 1999 in Lahti, Finland, and the shape of their line-up and music has been very vivid. Their discography begins from the 2001 demo “Fuck The Beast” when the music of PO was searching for it's shape. The first demo got some nice feedback and soon after that the demo “Load Of Lead” (2001) was praised in various webzines and demo sections in mags.
The first official release was the “Label Of Black” Ep. The “Label Of Black” got good reviews in Finland, was chosen to be the album of the month in Resistance Radio in Germany and the Finnish national TV used Label Of Black in a document of theirs.
In 2003, the band was recording some demo songs, and even if the C2H40 was not an official release, the song “God In A Bottle” got some radio airplay in Finland and Germany.
In the fall of 2003 Profane Omen did their first tour with an Austrian death metal band Spearhead Inc. They joined PO for 3 gigs in Finland, and a month later Profane Omen went to play 4 gigs in Austria. Profane Omen also played three gigs in Germany in summer of 2005. In total, Profane Omen has done about 100 gigs during it’s existence.
