MR. BUNGLE BIOGRAPHY
Mr. Bungle was an influential group that formed in 1985 in Eureka, Ca. while its members were in high school. The band was known to blend and cycle through several musical genres, often within the course of a single song, fusing radically different styles together.
In the early years, they gained a following in North California, releasing 3 demo records. Later on they were signed to Warner Brothers Records due in part to the recent success of The Real Thing by Faith No More, which Mr Bungle's Mike Patton was a member of. They went on to release 3 albums with Warner Brother Records, gaining a loyal cult following.
While early in their career Mr. Bungle went through several line up changes, the bands longest serving members were vocalist Mike Patton, guitarist Trey Spruance, bassist Trevor Dunn, drummer Danny Heifetz, and Clinton "Bär" McKinnon on saxophone and other woodwind instruments.
Following their 2000 tour the band appeared to split up. Much later, in 2004 it was confirmed by Mike Patton that the band would no longer be recording, due to personality conflicts within the group.
