THAUROROD LYRICS
"Morning Lake" (2007 Demo)
1. Into the Realms of Hidden Me 2. Cursed in the Past 3. Morning Lake
1. Into the Realms of Hidden Me
These fields of grief and sadness
This woe of an endless fight
An angel veiled in silver gown
In the morning glow secret she reveals..
The heresy never written
Veils me with its purity
Forsaken memories
Keep me under this ice so thin
In these ages of eternal frost
Her wings and faith forever lost
Could she touch the night
The night so mesmerising?
I feel the leaves of the trees gathering around me
I hear the howling beneath..
Soon it will drown within me
Here are no nightly dreams
No beauty of a morning glow
Shall I ever breathe again
Will I ever rise from the sea
Thou shall never find the truth so sealed
As I fall deeper into the realms of hidden me
I see my life flash before me
Cannot break this ice that keeps me under..
She was standing right above him
Stared with those weary eyes
Cruel sun goldened her hair
Beside the tears she shed
He felt the rage of years gone by
Lost his wings so long ago
Could he touch the night
The night so close beside him?
Morning smiles with its glow
Reflecting the sorrow of its own
The fight of mournful years
Has brought this void into my soul
For eternity it seems..
I see the leaves of the trees withering away now
Harken the howling beneath..
Oh it is frightening me..
Sun has died, moon shall shine so bright
At the sea no-one shall cross any more
I shall never breathe again
I will never rise from the sea
Thou shall never find the truth so sealed
The truth lies buried in the realms of hidden me
I see my life flash before me
Cannot break this ice that keeps me under
2. Cursed in the Past
One time he did not know the tales ahead, the war awaiting
His eyes were full of life and his thirsty heart felt only yearning
He walked home through the forrest, wasn't aware of losing it all
that all he cherished and stood for were to be soon behind..
..And so it rose the seventh moon and silent was the land
then wardrums echoed far from villages out of sight
And so bright was his sword that sought its voice, waiting for battle
the great war that would seal his fate and slay his dreams
And so there was the battle, moon descended and rose again
Trees were burning next to him but still he did not feel the heat
His sword laid on the ground as he walked towards the flames..
And so daylight struck the land not so silent anymore
The wardrums pounding rose in villages, in the night
And there lied his blood-stained blade with body all covered in blood
The signs of battle that sealed his fate, vanquished his soul..
”Swallow your defeat and walk among the stars
Wander through the altar of past, there you shall witness it all
But don't fall into memories, you can't have them back
Out of sight, out of mind they say
Still forgetting cannot prevent that which must be
..A Stain in your mind you can't wash away..”
There he stood unknowing where the path would lead
He didn't grieve as he sat upon his grave
The familiar face crying kneeled next to him
He realised this land was his no more..
..Once it rose the seventh moon and silent was the land
Screams still echo far from villages out of sight
And so cruel were his deeds in battle once upon a time
In battle that did seal his fate and slew his dreams
3. Morning Lake
Far from home
And days of childhood
I was searching my way in the rain
The lights died out
Blinding my narrow trail
How I long for my childhood and home
No shackles are binding me
No shades are following me
The gates are opening
The gates I once did leave behind
..so far behind
I'm on my way again
Retracing back to reach my roots
And I have seen it all
Been lost just way too long now
Head for stars
I'm holding on
Though I'm thousand miles away
Tonight I'm wasting no more time to fly where skies are grieving
I have been searching for my heart lately
These visions from the morning lake in me are burning brighter
You know I can't be too far from home.. I have to go
This moment breaks the night
Back then I don't know why
Why I was travelling on
Without my guiding heart
Head for stars
I'm holding on
Though I'm thousand miles away
Tonight I'm wasting no more time to fly where skies are grieving
I have been searching for my heart lately
These visions from the morning lake in me are burning brighter
You know I can't be too far from home
It's time to go..
