Dei grame fra Asgard, signet ham til a fore

En glitrende gra solvkledd mane.
Fra tidenes morgen en solvravnen var sendt.
Den for som et trollsyn i natten.
Eggende trollsyn lunt vevd inn i et sjel av
sorgkledd take.
En vitring om svigul, om blod gilde, strid.
Ravnen messet intenst og lokkende.
Sjeletarende toner fra oven kloyver stillhetens
lappede skjold.
Omslort av rimkald natt
I tidenes morgen verken sol eller mane.
Et tomrom uten jord og himmel.
Nivlheims strid i mot Muspelheim
var det eneste i tomhetens gapende svelg.
I dette kosmiske skjaringpunkt,
ble Yme den forste
av hans legeme lagde Borsonn jord,
himmel og hav.
Enda kan man se av Muspells hete gnister
stjerner blinke mot Ymes veldige skalle.
