1. A Darksome Path
In a time of forgotten realms and whilom truth
Noble kings and valiant men
In a land where shades lurked in the dark
Where at night tales began to rouse
It was the dawn of the thousand fires
When he stepped into the night
Swearing to face all dusmay
To dare the ancient mights
Enthralled by a flickering glint
That allured him to follow
To a place where the realms entwine
A gate to the other side (adistant light)
Faint singing called him to step inside
His eyes strayed aloft
Willing to go towards his fate
A last look to the sky
When he passed the gate
For ever and ay (for a year and a day)
A wanderer lost in nowhere
Never found a place to dwell
Withersoever he fared
Twilight shapes begged him to stay
But the glinting stars
Drowned all leathe
Restless he hied afar
2. Chants of Lethe
Oh, How well I remember the day
Encircled by trees I was
Grabbing Boughs and whispering fays
Forced to walk on their elfin pathways
Until they led me to a fount at last
I watched into the starlit water
And the lights began to whirl around
Weird eyes glared at me
My mind sabk into the fount
Dark it was there on the ground
But bright and graceful was the light
Of the dancing water sprites
Mute voices sang their songs profound
Tunes frail as their wavy guise
Enswathed me like a silken shine
A glance on the flight of time
To distant realms and stars
Low laid the land of mine
And their everlasting scars
In the deepest depth there was
fire and source entwined
In days of yore and before
It burned and flowed in our mind
With eyes on the wings of time
I saw the flames increase
The fount fell down into lethe
And within the silken shine
Again I heard the singing fays
Through the mist of time There is no believe
Frail is the Pathway of dreams
For all is drowned in chants of lethe
Aye, I will remember the day
Encircled by Trees I was
Grabbing Boughs and whispering fays
Forced to walk on their elfin path ways
Here I saw how the days would last
3. The Well of Might
So the days went by
And only the wind and the rain
were my companions
A lot of stones laid on my path
to the palace of snow
and the king of fire...
Majestic hights with flaming banners
So giantly the king seemed to be forever lost
A chilling audience for a man of noone
Kneel to the king and his endless melting throne
Under his crown a million creatures crawled
A twisted tongue for a gesture of kindness
Each glimpse made them turn to stone
Their eyes like snow long for blindness
...so long in blindness
For there is no way to change their chosen lot
No chain of steel could bind them more
My well of might is your well of sorrow
give me your sight and leave behind tomorrow
My son, he said, it`s better to reign in hell
(Live`s a path of sorrow)
Than to serve in heaven
Woe betide him and his bleak eyes
Words of truth from a head full of lies
So my quest took me onward to a brighter way
I wouldn`t rest here for frozen tears nor melting fears
4. The Hidden Quest
Sudden the morn came
Slowly the curtain rose
Awe shone in his eyes
Another light was born to rove
With pinions of sorrow
On winds of despair
The beast appeared
Some say it would never go away
With eyes of morrow
On stars of guidance
He faced all fright
His way a neverending night
So he defied the lively waves
Betrayed himself
And the restless hieing winds
Strong is the blade of hatred
The desire of our desperate hope
The serpent of grief
Feeds virtue to it`s sateless breed
High aloft the dragon flies
The falcon has gone astray
So nigh but also far away
A cry above - the wyvern dies
Blind eyes have broken the oath
So far away but also close
The awaited even came
Slowly the curtain fell
Awe shone in his eyes
Another light still yearns to dwell
His eyes full of sorrow
And wounds of despair
Bled immortal dreams
Whispering of days of yore
The guise in the mirror
No more stars to guide
It`s the beast he feared
Now he knew it would never go away
So he defied the eternal rock
Buried himself
Into the everlasting flame
Strong is the blade of hatred
The desire of our desperate hope
The serpant of grief
Feeds virtue to it`s sateless breed
High aloft the dragon flies
The falcon has gone astray
So nigh but also far away
A cry above - the wyvern dies
Blind eyes have broken the oath
So far away but also close
5. Morrigan
Once, on another weary day of mine
Just when the sun began to fondle mother earth
On a hill I stood to behold this crimson embrace
A stricken field to my feet (under bloody mist)
Myriad hollow staring eyes
Wrapped in red clouds
The corvine goddess appeared
Emptiness filled my mind
Fervid thoughts crawled suddenly into me...
Morrigan - three faced goddess dark and wild
For thee I`ll raise my sword and shield
Morrigan - grimest crow beneath the sky
May the eyes of thousands please thy raging greed
Come forth now grimest crow
Thou cry shall shatter earth and sky
...Like a shrieking carnyce...
In thy shadow I shall stand forevermore
I send thee hail and eternal troth...
Night descended and the stars within my eyes
Cleared my mind and aflamed my heart
I flee thy corvine ire
Morrigan - three faced goddes dark and wild
For thee they rose their swords and shields
Morrigan - grimest crow beneath the sky
May the eyes of thousands please thy raging greed - but not mine...
6. Peregrin
Fly aloft Leave
All Ground behind
Your cradle below the winds of
Life will be in days to come your grave
7. Wasted Lands
Tireless I faced my way
The flames still burned
To see the stars and dales
My heart still yearned for
Surrounded by bleakness
Osseous trees seemen to
Seize the silence
A plain of ruins
winds of dust tried to enshroud
All Remembrance
A doleful figure cowered
At the heart of this wasted lands
his bowed head a mere skull
the yield of dust in his hands
" I dwell beyond all fear
and here in my liefeless claw
shall grow your given seed
the everlasting flaw "
On the ground of his eyes I
saw a child drowned in fear
In the deep he beheld the airy play
Of those who can fly while
fear turned into hate
Woe betide him and his tainted eyes
Seeds of despair won`t grow with tears of dust
So I left this wilted man and his vale of woe
To Resume my own path of dole
8. Strayed in Nowhere
The moon passed his realm oh many times
Restless he hied to the caress of the sea
Sylphlike lights in the dark with alluring voices
So many stars I`ve never seen
So I cursed each day
And it`s joyful sneer
And in nights of fear
I saw their darksome shapes of light
I hied with the wind
Won`t ever dree my weard
Endless width of splendour
But my thoughts stood dear
Strayed in nowhere
Some inner tide
Made me long afar
To an aim beyond all sight
(Is there no one to guide me)
Through this endless maze
Where are the stars and dales ?
Where is my way home ?
Oh where am I ?
Strayed in nowhere...
To and fro I went in my sleep
But each step brought me closer to my last
Standing stones glared at me with fathomless eyes
Assuring me that I am lost
Sylphlike lights in the dark with alluring voices
So many stars I`ve never seen
Each a one called me to rest
Until I hear the banshees lonely caoine
9. Airne
10. Lays from Afar
Countless seemed to be the days
Until his return
Ceaseless semmed to be his way
But still the thousand fires burn
So he beheld one day
His long - desired journeys end
Still the singing called him to stay
Oh, it was the place where it all began
Strange eyes looked up
As he stepped into the light
All friends were gone ( he`s still alone )
Betrayed by the course of time ( He`s lost in time )
"From afar I come - in place ans in time
I saw the strongholds of the old ones
Once I sat here by a fire
My heart in flames but now they`re waned and gone"
Calm spread out it`s wings and his hoar voice
Pierced the night and the light inside of them
Deep were his words, the songs to sang
And long his story to tell
But each a word would be carved deep in their minds
Now the alst words are said
And slowly dawns a new day
The guise of the wise fades away
Aye, they should remind the words
And the things they saw
As a stranger sang for them his lays from afar
