PANDEMONIC LYRICS
"Ravenous" (2002 Demo)
1. Cursed 2. Atrocities 3. Scent of Fear 4. Tower Bell 5. Windwalker
1. Cursed
I can still recall the old man?s words of warning
-Stay on the road
-And beware the moon
Oh but did we listen? We thought him just a fool
Now I pay for my ignorance, and the punishment is cruel
Who would have believed, that out there in the moors
Roamed around an evil beast which appointed us main course
My friend is now undead
Telling me my blood to shed
A poisonous bite to change my mind
A curse bestowed of the feral kind
Shifting shape when darkness falls
And madness calls
When the moon grows full the process doth begin
A searing pain flooding me as I shed my human skin
Slowly I am morphed into a wolf-like beast
An incarnation of lunacy with rampant bloodlust unleashed
Creating more of the undead
Oh no, this can?t go on
My affliction must be undone
Only in death I?ll find release
Rid me of this vile disease
A poisonous bite to change my mind
A curse bestowed of the feral kind
Shifting shape when darkness falls
And madness calls
Death seems to be the way to break the spell
The only means to exorcise the beast within my shell
Again the moon appears; setting the werewolf free
To roam the streets of London in a final killing spree
A spray of bullet lead
Terminates the curse - I am dead
2. Atrocities
In high Germany, the 16th century
A man called Peeter was brought up, practising wicked deeds
From the age of twelve his sinister mind would delve
Into areas inclined towards profounder cruelties
Great was his desire to take his nature higher
So he sought to, in demonic shape, commit greater acts of malice
Thus, granted unto him a strap made of wolf skin
So that as a wolf his evil ways now could practice
Not even the light of day would keep this wolf at bay
As every woman, man or innocent child
Would find themselves being prey
And so the Devil did see in him
A fitting tool with a sinister whim
Like a demonic bloodletting storm
Throughout this realm could perform
Vile acts of cruelty and murder
And thus refine his atrocities further
To roam the fields in a werewolf disguise
Dealing out his neighbour?s demise
Promised by the dark one that to his cold heart?s full content
He now could carry out his cruel pastime of death and moral descent
And so the Devil did see in him
A fitting tool with a sinister whim
Like a demonic bloodletting storm
Throughout this realm could perform
Vile acts of cruelty and murder
And thus refine his atrocities further
To roam the fields in a werewolf disguise
Dealing out his neighbour?s demise
Thus it did begin, his atrocious life of sin
Throughout five and twenty years of time his neighbours he?d kill
People he?d meet he courteously would greet
Contemplating where or when he their precious blood could spill
Even his own boy, his heartfelt pride and joy
Would eventually be lured out - then subsequently slain
For though he was his father, who loved him, he would rather
Concede to the craving need to glut upon his brain
Not even the light of day would keep this wolf at bay
3. Scent of Fear
4. Tower Bell
Nightmares by day, what evil is this
Marie cannot see what may be amiss
Verging on breakdown, she needs to escape
Into the countryside to flee her mind's rape
A small, secluded town; a sanctuary to put her at ease
But all is not well as appearances may deceive
Eerie howls break the still of the night
The calling of wolves when the full moon is bright
No wolves in these parts live the locals doth say
Then what lupine beasts seek to take me as prey?
Something is wrong; the nightmares persist
This place holds a secret Marie now insist
The townsfolk hide something, what can it be?
The tower bell in the church may be the key
Now all hell is breaking loose
Richard; her husband is attacked by a wolf
The very next morning his wounds are all gone
Marie, now confused believes she's insane
She saw the bite marks, or is she deranged?
But it's all real; the werewolves does live around here
Richard is now one, the very next full moon Marie will know
Eerie howls break the still of the night
The calling of wolves when the full moon is bright
No wolves in these parts live the locals doth say
Then what lupine beasts seek to take me as prey?
A whole pack of werewolves are coming her way
Time is short something must be done
Otherwise Marie will note live very long
She remembers a tale about the old bell
How it may lure these beasts back to hell
And so as the bells' toll call
The werewolves are summoned to their downfall
Once inside the church they are trapped
The beasts meet their doom as in fire they are wrapped
5. Windwalker
A rift torn open wide like an orifice in the skies
Gaping with teeth-less jaws which spills the fabric of the cosmic realms
A gateway and threshold to the stars situated light-years afar
Stepping out of the void He Who Walks the Winds now comes
Ominous - his presence radiates an aura of pure pandemonium
Infused with one single thought; the conquest and enslavement of man
Chorus:
Held within his ancient form
The very essence of a howling storm
This blizzard lord, vast millennia old
An epitome of chaos and blistering cold
Returning now to where mankind has grown
Now Ithaqua reclaims his throne
Raging from the north The Windwalker spearheads the assault
Now chaos has returned, shaped and formed as an animate storm
The ancient one has arrived to reclaim his lost domain
Standing poised in mid-air; Ithaqua rides the shrieking winds
The ether seethes with wrath unleashed
Ominous - his presence radiates an aura of pure pandemonium
Infused with one single thought; the conquest and enslavement of man
Chorus:
Held within his ancient form
The very essence of a howling storm
This blizzard lord, vast millennia old
An epitome of chaos and blistering cold
Returning now to where mankind has grown
Now Ithaqua reclaims his throne
Thrown into exile by the elder gods
Millennia has passed now his anger floods
Spawned out of chaos he brings the holocaust
The earth is cloaked in eternal frost
Chorus:
Held within his ancient form
The very essence of a howling storm
This blizzard lord, vast millennia old
An epitome of chaos and blistering cold
Returning now to where mankind has grown
Now Ithaqua reclaims his throne
