1. The Watersprite
The Watersprite
Step outside when three moons change
and your horizons turning strange
a crimson lady will be joining thee
to lead you into mystery
a widow black lies in wait
in her cobweb that is silver made
the lady takes you to willows´end
and the harpenists play is close at hand
"come to my fathomless pond
through the pearly curtain see
hear my notes from far beyond
I´ll drown thy woe and comfort thee"
he sits on olden stone
to welcome you at home
and with its weaving chords
the water tells with hollow words
"come to my fathomless pond
where it is so gently cool
hear my notes from far beyond
pick the rose and I will rule !"
2. T.B.'s Notion
3. Strange Mountain
Strange Mountain
I´m searching for things forlorn,
I´m marooned and sneaking along life´s forest.
water sings over ageless rocks,
the air is dump and within me.
I can hear the leafs whispering !
but where are the clouds,
my constellations have changed.
no signpost to walk for !
I´m wearing limbs of stone and wide yawning valleys,
while the sun moves on and the fading light paints distant echoes of life…
4. How Fortunate The Man With None
(Original by Dead Can Dance)
You saw sagacious solomon
You know what came of him,
To him complexities seemed plain.
He cursed the hour that gave birth to him
And saw that everything was vain.
How great and wise was solomon.
The world however did not wait
But soon observed what followed on.
Its wisdom that had brought him to this state.
How fortunate the man with none.
You saw courageous caesar next
You know what he became.
They deified him in his life
Then had him murdered just the same.
And as they raised the fatal knife
How loud he cried: you too my son!
The world however did not wait
But soon observed what followed on.
Its courage that had brought him to that state.
How fortunate the man with none.
You heard of honest socrates
The man who never lied:
They werent so grateful as youd think
Instead the rulers fixed to have him tried
And handed him the poisoned drink.
How honest was the peoples noble son.
The world however did not wait
But soon observed what followed on.
Its honesty that brought him to that state.
How fortunate the man with none.
Here you can see respectable folk
Keeping to gods own laws.
So far he hasnt taken heed.
You who sit safe and warm indoors
Help to relieve out bitter need.
How virtuously we had begun.
The world however did not wait
But soon observed what followed on.
Its fear of God that brought us to that state.
How fortunate the man with none.
5. The Fiery Flower
The Fiery Flower
in the deep forest by a yearnings side
is a flower growing in the still of the night.
moonlit night with her would blend - if you break her:
your life must end !
and the lonely nightsky does his moonshine send,
to caress that flower in no-mans-land.
moonlit night with her would blend - if your break her:
your life must end !
6. Moonface Is Dead
Moonface Is Dead
the swing of luna hangs in stoic calm,
since the silver winds are silent.
swansongs sounding through out the realm.
moonface left the lantern island.
this were the nights, when all candles glowed,
but it´s darker now like shadows of old.
silent singers haunt their song of moonface,
who to death moved on.
no pale patch will ever fall,
across nights withering bed.
this place is cursed since moonface is dead.
7. The Riddle Seeker
The Riddle Seeker
he rushed through the mountains,
little waters followed him and crossed his path in fountains.
his breast is aching and the forest is shaking,
the mist builds mighty forms !
he´s waiting breathless with staring eyes restless,
to gather all his storms !
the thunder rolls and the sun-blade glows,
to kill his undermining worm !
he looses ground and his eyes half closed,
seeking for a small wandering star.
he´s feeling grey and getting light.
a shadow player, dancing in it´s scar.
he will rush through the mountains,
little waters followed him to cross his path in fountains.
heaven and earth becoming one and he stays isolate.
something is close behind him, that man can´t take !
