MURDER SHE WROTE LYRICS
"Egypt" (1995 Demo)
1. A Room With No View 2. Palmyra 3. My Justification 4. Egypt
1. A Room With No View
A room with no view, a closed place surrounded with walls
A pleasure thought of outer life, and then fall back to monotone
This room that attacks us, although we don't notice it
Some plastic foreign water champions like the way they are
Frozen into their self illusions, unconscious caught in their depressions
This room that attacks us, although we don't notice it
Low life, flee from thy advice
A flash that made our hearts burn
And lead the way our soul turns
This room that attacks us, although we don't notice it
Rules our life from birth to death, but death is almost here
2. Palmyra
I walked through Palmyra's ruins, through the mighty colonnades
I crossed the desert to this town that disappeared since thousand years
I took a walk to the Arabic castle that stands lonely on a hill
And all of this monuments causes this strange thrill
And I climbed into the valley of tombs to fall in silence and deep respect
Who were the people who've been buried there, what were their thoughts I can't reflect
Destroyed by wars and egoism the desert sand destroyed the life
A thousand cries under my feet, who remembers, who'll apologise
3. My Justification
4. Egypt
