MATERIA PRIMA LYRICS
"Soliloquies for Being" (2005 Demo)
1. Lion of Earth 2. Cynosura 3. Observing Dominion
1. Lion of Earth
The desert’s parabolas
bury the Sun
as we reach
my sepulcher.
Twilight will forget me,
for night has
forsaken my life.
I inhale the mordant welcome
to my dissembling.
Fear has been
consecrated above
reason as god.
The chariots piously charter
the chained
to the pyre
whose smoke abrades
the sunless tower.
They cast me downward:
a lion of Earth!
I watch the executioner
of my body
replenished in the pit:
All that breathes, collapses
under nature or intention,
mercy or severity;
the exit against the will –
the will into the exit.
2. Cynosura
Five keepers!
The watchers of the highest gate!
Vision that mind erected
sundered in their laughter.
Lightning speaks, thought’s architect
within my arid orchard.
Its axis
is Polaris,
serrated cosmos
striking from the arc of Nuit.
The first flame sends
the young flame.
Shape the flesh into the grass,
shift into the Earth.
Unmake, reform this mortal home.
Fire my spirit to the polygon of stone.
Unmake, reform this mortal home.
Fire my spirit to the polygon of stone.
Exit!
The parasitic will
which knows action
only as its blind meal,
whose warmth will not be warmth
whose days will not be days
where the sightless lapping
of existence’s ecstatic pains
illuminates
no
Way!
A dormant Anahata.
The state of none
as none,
non-horizon.
I wear every vibration
and color upon color,
bringing the astral bath,
lathing my Self in primal love.
Wise children travel forward.
Across stained rocks and upward,
not to accede to an
unseen chasm.
The opaque eon
could not conquer
the serpent
within a diamond’s flower;
its colorless eye
waits
beyond
the hour.
3. Observing Dominion
I have discarded my sight,
The lotus has spurned the crown.
My sinew wanes with Ashtoreth.
Crawling upon bloody limbs,
across the sweating oasis,
into the star of Nemesis
To conquer the lowness to which I suffer,
may I know the beasts of my mind
may I be what I was born, but more
may I sail through the Fields of the Tuat
evolved to perceive
The eons of me flourish,
though the vessels change.
The clamor in the bond
of bonds.
Essence placed to its dominion --
upon the orb, breathing --
moving beneath the canopy
singularity
