1. Infiltration
In the dark of night, a team of eight rogue bandits rush a poorly guarded back area of the Kings castle. They manage to kill the few guards in the area in complete silence.
They get all the way through the rooms of sleeping warrior knights without waking anyone, climb up to the tower from the outside, scaling the outer walls like a lizard, enter the unguarded room, take the Kings only daughter, and left the way they came.
No one would discover this till daybreak.
2. Kings Rage
The King woke in the morning to discover his daughter missing without a trace. The dead guardsmen were found along with footprints. The King assigned his four best trackers to find who took his daughter and where they were taking her. He could taste revenge as his blood boiled.
3. Ruins
The King hasn't heard any news from the trackers about the whereabouts of his daughter in days. His mind wanders from anger to depression as he abandons his throne and isolates himself to the dark caverns beneath the castle. His second in command is in charge of the livelihood of the region, per the Kings request. He isn't fit to rule. There is talk of madness suffering the King.
4. First Contact
The trackers finally caught up with the abductors in a midnight chase. The skies are heavy with cloud cover, and the desert area they have been led to silences their horses' steps. They locate the temporary camp near an oasis, brightly lit by campfire. The princess is next to a tree, gagged and bound. She doesn't appear to be injured.
The bandits that kidnapped the princess are worn rogue soldiers. They have clearly seen many a vicious battle, and won them all.
A plan is put to work for the rescue...
5. Found
A hawk is sent from the location the following morning after the bandits packed up and started moving again, with a note for the King of the princesses discovery.
The King has found hope with the news. His throne is restored to its prior glory, and the entire countryside is alive with the hopes of the safe return of the Kings daughter and revenge to her captors.
Ten of the Kings most prized Knights prepare for battle, and speed to the location on horseback.
6. Fear
The King throws a celebration on the news of his daughters sighting, but still in the back of his mind, fears what might become of his only daughter. The celebration for him, is only a mask.
7. Final Destination
After 5 more days of tracking, the bandits have finally come home. Their dwelling is in the rock face of the side of a mountain, a combination of a cave, and stone and wooden structuring. No one has even been to this part of the country, for fear of what lies in its murky and desolate darkness.
They celebrate for many hours, deep into the night.
8. Battle Cry
The Knights have arrived in complete silence, meeting the trackers. The area is marked out, and a plan is in place.
At daybreak, the plan will be executed.
9. Wait
As the sun is about to rise over the horizon, the Knights saddle up, the trackers stand back out of the way and out of sight. A close eye has been kept on the bandits all night. Everyone is accounted for, and all eight of them are still passed out from the heavy eating and brew consumption from the previous nights celebration.
Just as the cries for the battle to begin are called out, the bandits attempt to wake and fight back, but they are too unprepared and intoxicated to do any damage.
All eight bandits are killed in their own dwelling with ease.
Just as the Knights took the princess in their custody on horseback, the bandits reveal their entire tribe, consisting of over thirty additional warriors that were hidden outside the cave. They were prepared for this tragedy, ready to sacrifice their own for the cause, and sealed off the cavern by causing an avalanche over the entrance.
The Kings ten best Knights and his only daughter are trapped in the side of a mountain. Doomed, their fate was sealed.
10. All Is Lost
The bandits killed all but one of the trackers, who they allowed to escape after a severe beating and warning of their intentions. The lone tracker raced on horseback as quickly as he could for days to get back to warn the King and give the horrible news of the incredible loss.
The bandits kept up with the trackers pace, keeping a comfortable distance.
11. Kingdom No More
As the tracker arrived in the early morning, beaten and bloody, the King himself ran down to the muddy courtyard to hear what happened. The look on the Kings face said to the entire courtyard of people what they feared most as the tracker spoke to the King with fear and pain in his eyes. The King discovering that his best Knights and only daughter were dead from suffocation at the hands of the bandits brought him to his knees, crying out in agony. The entire countryside was dead silent, with only the echoed screams of anger, loss, and desperation that the King was overwhelmed with.
Before the heavily injured tracker could catch his breath to tell of the bandits purpose, someone from atop the towers of the castle saw the arrival of a cloud from the 30 horses carrying the bandits, and yelled out of the discovery. But it was too late.
The bandits easily took the entire castle, killing anyone and anything that got in their way. The castle was theirs.
12. Spared
The King was spared his life, but was put down in the dungeon where he first sought solace upon the news of his daughters kidnapping.
Madness set in as the darkness of night overtook the castle. A guard looks into the dungeon window, through the thick, rusted metal bars, only to see in the torch lit room, the blank stare of what was one a glorious King...
