CRY HAVOC LYRICS
"Calling" (1992 Demo)
1. Frightening tales 2. Willy wants to fly 3. Ancestral blue marble
1. Frightening tales
Waiting since two minutes outside
You need no more time
To spot an unaccompanied girl in the crowd
You plan to seat by her right side
Use the two hours time
And maybe derive something from her cries
You hope she’ll feel the fright, be paralysed
You’ll give her shelter, she’ll fall in your arms
Frightening tales
May be an easy way to make the grade
Frightening tales
Doting out of fear she might not be herself
Waiting since one hour inside
You need a few more time
To embrace the unaccompanied girl in the dark
But this masterpiece of horror
Seems to be a dreadful tripe
You hope that the most terrific scene
Ain’t the springing cat
You hope she’ll feel the fright, be paralysed
You’ll give her shelter, she’ll fall in your arms
Waiting since two hours inside
You got no more time
And the unaccompanied girl didn’t cry
The curtain’s drawn, the light is back
She looks you up and down
And you’re afraid to understand the fear in her eyes
‘cause now she feels the fright, she’s paralysed
She saw your face, she won’t fall in your arms
2. Willy wants to fly
Willy was a withdraw little boy
Couldn’t be satisfied with none of his toys
Spend his time upon the crest
Looking at those who do it the best
‘cos you know birds fly high
Made up his mind he had to make it somehow
Willy grew up and he learned to wait
Realized that what he wanted he had to gain
Took his time but nonetheless
Never his mind retired from the crest
Where birds were flying high
He knew a day he would join by somehow
And to him everybody said
Willy don’t you see
You’re out of your mind
‘cos Willy
A man cannot fly
Willy went through ups and downs of life
And then the day came he was tempted to try
Flight time, he did his best
To spread his wings and leave the nest
‘cos you know dreams die hard
But nevermind he had to make it somehow
3. Ancestral blue marble
Heard a tale about the deepest space
Which tells one may find a forgotten place
A little blue-green old planet
From now to find it, we’ll be doing our best
Some people say that of the all human race
This tiny ball is the birthplace
But will you tell me where have gone
The memories that the child keeps of the womb
Well, we don’t really know where it stands
But we got faith, yes we’re gonna find
That blue marble lost in space
Our ancestral home
We come upon some frostbitten lands
Some burning pebbles covered with sand
But nowhere we found fertile ground
Some Eden like place where we could settle down
For forty years now we’ve been searching in vain
Ain’t been rewarded for our pain
A wasted life but there’s no chance
That give it up until the end
