1. Prologue
2. Sanctuary
Asleep I dream of another place
A darkened world I call home
Beckoning meto my destined race
To a life that I've always known
Pallid creatures touch my face
Their ripping barbs tear at my flesh
Father, my father, where are you now?
A corpse, upon a dead throne
Sanctuary, take me home
My waking hours are lived in fear
Deserted by my only friend
Nightmares distort my twisted mind
When will my reality end
The child of death reaches out for me
It's chilling hands grasp at my soul
My blood pours freely by my own hand
Tonight my dream shall hold
Sanctuary, take me home
The underground greets the proud
Echoes of hate come gather 'round
My afterlife has now begun
Shattered existence of a cursed son
Disease and filth, cancerous lies
Too late for truth sadly I resign
Trap has sprung, my soul has gone
Eternal death awaits all alone
3. Reduced To Dust
We're born, we live, we die
In solitude my spirit cries
Dissolving into non-existence
Radiation burns persistent
Like a lab rat
Bones reduced to dust
Doctors watch my decline
Pain I leave behind
Never thought I would be
A victim of technology
4. Necropolis
Weeping souls cry out in search of life
Trapped in charred remains, locked
inside night
Legions of the dead proclaim their rule
From blackened clouds come acid rain
in caustic pools
Loss of law no longer tempts the lost
Fear and loathing possesses all
who remain
Cold fills our dwindling humanity
The four return to claim their
rightful place
Past is lost
Society dies
A new era
Necropolis
Drifting winds slowly spread decay
Laughter of the dead is heard in
empty streets
For the afterlife is here, is now
And judgement day we'll meet
Justice corrupted by those undead
Chaos reigns in everlasting dark
Fear of life punishable by death
Everlasting anarchy envelopes
the earth
Past is lost
Society dies
A new era
Necropolis
5. Proboscis
You fly You run
T'would be easoer to flee from the sun
Why I choose to die
In piety, I may, because I follow Him
Not you, infidel
You die because we deem it so
He loves those who pray
But to pray you must be loved by Him
That is why you cannot be
Accepted into His sacred flock
Upon the rack you twist in pain
Your spine cannot stand the strain
Life was not for you, our quarry
But not too late to say you're sorry
Your ways are different
I looked and saw it was not right
Not good and not right
Pity you. He won't, despite your broken form
Judge not lest ye be judged
Save if you be the one who may decide for Him
I judged He frowned
I know because I follow Him
When asked what became of you
'Ask the rats who gnaw and chew'
Into the dirt your face was trod
Damned enemy of a loving God
You fly You run
T'would be easier to flee from the sun
6. I, To The Heavens Shall Lift My Eyes
A time the righteous are wont to forget
Divided, reluctant, the balance upset
Bring forth the ones look to the skies
Watching, with horror, the signs of demise
Colluding in tongues
With rats in a mass
What of the light
Now failing to pass?
Be still and see.
More quickly came
A dangerous end
To a pointless game
Their icon a form swung from a chain
Origin of disgust, source of disdain
Loss of ground, it's impact subsides
I, To The Heavens, Shall Lift My Eyes
Now it screams at us,
Whereas it used to sing
What will become of
Our methods to form the real?
Our systems of coping
Are gone and it seems perhaps
God was an asteroid,
And hence the collapse
I, To The Heavens, Shall Lift My Eyes
