What is the point in going on if you know you'll never
reach your dreams?
What purpose does life offer after all the hopes are taken away?
I used to think that if we try enough and focus, we can reach our dreams and make them real.
Now I know is not that simple.
There are always things beyond our grasp.
Some things, we just can’t reach no matter how we try.
For me, it is the only thing I ever wanted.
For me, it is the chance to spread my wings and leave everything behind.
But instead, I am locked into this aviary with my wings broken and dreams shattered.

"I always wanted to break free from this cage I've been put into, but whenever I got out of one cage I found myself inside another. The more I struggle, the more it hurts to fail. Am I destined to live a life in this prison where I can see what I yearn for without ever reaching it?"

Walking these trails carved out from stone
Lost in this maze that holds my soul

3. When the Heavens Fall
"They would give me orders to go stalk the open grounds for enemy forces. I would lay still in some well hidden place and wait. Should someone appear on the landscape before me, I would radio my superiors and give specific locations. 40 seconds later, like an act of God, the heavens would scream and all the land would be covered in fire and smoke."

"One could say I drowned my inner child in my own tears. Words like happiness and carelessness are lost to me. After all the things I've gone through and after all the bad I've seen and done, how could the world ever be the same for me? There are no survivors in a war. I may stand and breathe before you now, but I still died on those fields."
Slowly I walk toward the end of today
Could I set with the sun
And never rise again?
Every now and then I feel
Like I just can't pretend anymore
When my past is catching up with me
A silent cry for a life torn apart
A solitary tear for all the needless grief

Looking from this prison
