1. Truth for a Lie
You know that men love darkness
Rather than light
Because their deeds are evil
They have the Truth in front
They look without and within
They harden their hearts
Given over to sin
We manufacture our perception of Truth
Always taking the easy way
Every day we’re drifting farther from God
Exchanging Truth for a Lie
I’ll take a little of this
And a little of that
"Whatever feels right"
Is what I always say
Ignore the voice inside me
Happiness is my right
Why resist our nature?
We manufacture our perception of Truth
Always taking the easy way out
Every day we travel farther from God
Trading Truth for a Lie
Even a dog knows his master
But you don’t know your own
Mistake creation for creator
Give up the meat for a bone
The evil we have
Is not enough for you
To satisfy your lust
You must invent some new
To you the knowledge of God
Is something lacking in worth
So He has given you up
Depravity for your mirth
We manufacture our perception of Truth
Always taking the easy way out
Every day we journey farther from God
Forsaking Truth for a Lie
Be sure you check to see
Who God has revealed Himself to be
Not who you’d like Him to be
Or who you think He should be
2. Seven Trumpets
3. More than a Carpenter
It's a nice day for a walk
I think I'll go to the lake
I see the people standing there
I hear a voice
"Friend, tell me what's going on?"
He shakes his head and walks away
I see a man in a boat
I hear him speak
Birds!
Rocks!
Thorns!
Good soil!
You think you see, but you are blind
You think you hear; you do not understand
Your hearts are hard, you've closed your mind
Oh, I would heal you!
More than a man
The Son of Man
More than a carpenter
With Eyes of Fire
And voice like a stream/thunder
His words cut to the bone
He tells another tale as I watch
I sense his words are true
Though he talks in riddles
I know there's more
Many leave now, though I stay
I need to understand
Tell me more, I need to know
Who you are
Who is this man, a carpenter?
How did he learn such truth?
Who is this man, a carpenter?
No, so much more
4. Yamiso
Why am I so
Weak, when I want to be strong?
Selfish, when I want just to give?
Dirty, when I long to be clean?
Blind, when I know how to see?
Why am I so?
Because I am so
No worse than me, you can’t deny
/ The Chief of Sinners am I
Why do I do,
What I wish not to?
Oh God, have mercy on I
Sinner am I
Why am I such a
Liar, when the Truth be known?
Fool when the Wisdom is mine?
Thief, when I have all I need?
Beggar, if I am so rich?
What a wretched man, oh that I am.
Who will set me free from this body of death?
Who is He that condemns, but He who sets free
Oh the Lamb of God, its for me that You bleed
Why am I so
Guilty, when the debt has been paid?
Red, if I'm white as snow?
Dead, if I shall live?
Selfish, when I want just to give?
5. Good and Faithful Servant
So many people go through life never satisfied
they're always longing for things to fill them up with pride
A new promotion, a brand new car,
some thing or other make them feel just like a star
Wanting recognition, honor or fame
When you boil it right down, most folks are the same
But there is only one thing that I really want to hear
When I stand before God's throne with Jesus standing there
Well Done. Good job, My son
Well Done my good and faithful servant
Faithful with a few things, I will give you more
Well done My good and faithful servant
But I fear that when I get there I wont hear those words
Cause I know that there is so much more that I must learn
The work of the Kingdom on this earth wont be done
Until the Master brings us home and all our songs are sung
So give me understanding, Lord, open my eyes wide
Speak to me in whispers slowly that I may know your mind, and you’ll tell me
Well Done. Good job, My son
Well Done my good and faithful servant
Faithful with a few things, I will give you more
Well done My good and faithful servant
6. Revelation 101
Got a little thing I’m trying to tell you
But I don’t want you to be concerned
You know it's something that you might find scary
But you gotta know your world’s gonna b-b-burn
You know it shouldn’t be a Revelation
We been hearing for a thousand years
It’s a manual of devastation
But it seems to me that no one cares
He’s comin’ back
He’ll take me home
I got a little class on economics
It’s called Devastation 101
You can go ahead and try to hide
But in an hour there’ll be no where to run
You know Babylon will be thrown down
No never to be found again
The only sound that you’ll hear is weeping
From your merchants and the world’s great men
He’s comin’ back
He’ll take me home
Surely the arm of the Lord is not too short to save
Nor his ears too dull to hear
But your iniquities have separated you from your God
And your sins have hidden His face
I hope you don’t call me a gloom and doomer
Cause that really ain’t the way I feel
Yeah, I'm lookin forward to that day
And I hope its not late, but sooner
He’s comin’ back
He’ll take me home
7. Better Man
Where do I begin?
I’m still lost in my sin
No matter what I do
I still fall short of You
Id like think that I could go
beyond where I am
But each time I try
I find myself back where I started
I’ve heard it said
Its easier to die for You than live
I pray that in the end
Its the fighting of the battle
not the triumph
He was a better man than I
He was a better man than I
Id like to think that I would die
For such a better man than I
How do I stay in the Spirit
As long as my flesh lives?
Nuno you said it best
"My miracles run weak"
Release me from my bonds
I cant take it any more
Cant you see?
My flesh, I abhor
I’ve heard it said
Its easier to die for You than live
I pray that in the end
Its the fighting of the battle
not the triumph
He was a better man than I
He was a better man than I
No worse than me you can’t deny
You are a better man than I
Though I battle my flesh I wont give it up!
No, I will fight till the end!
I know that the dying is worth the living
I give You all that I am
Lord give me the strength to
Pick up my cross yet again
Turn your sword on me Lord,
I lay down for You again
I know that its true
Its easier to die for You than live
But I pray that in the end
Its the fighting of the battle!
You are a better man than I
You are a better man than I
The Son sent, for me, to die
Jesus, You are a better man than I
Tears of sorrow I cry
For the Son sent down, for me He died!
I will fight all the days of my life
You are a better man than I
