A pale moonlight
Upon our chariot ride
Enter the gate
To the bleak inside
A frigid cavern
Deep covering of ice
To approach the depths
Could mean the loss of life
The torch was dying, no end in sight
Our chances diminished, to survive the night
With swords brandished, and maces drawn
Closer we moved to the evil spawn
From high above, arrows rained down
A spell was cast, which split the ground
The battle ensued, spiked axe found limbs
Blood splattered floors, red coloured skin
On all sides, demons closed in
With axe high, "Die you sin."
At the stinking end of the cavern walls
Bodies lay burned, maggots crawled
A light ahead, we emerged unscathed
Back on the trail our deaths delayed.

The elements were giants, fights with wind
Frost and snow as weapons
As the ages passed, grinding ice
Piled up, above the well of life
Ice of Ymir, rime giant father
Witches, warlocks, ogres, trolls
Sons of Borr, battle with Ymir
Icy water, gushed from wounds
Rime Giants drowned Ymir
Thrust into the void, ice blood, the sea, the rivers
Flesh, dry land
Bones, the mountains, teeth, gravel, stones
The sea was set, ring about the earth
World tree grew, hold it in place
Overshadow, with mighty branches
Support the sky, ice blue skull, Ymir.

The northern lands, summer is short, winter is long
Harsh brutal cold, life is a battle against the earth
Against the ice, the darkness
The snow and ice, the bitter winds, the bare rocks
None will live, blanket of death, sever the ground
Lands lay fallow, bodies pile high
A night on the edge, frigid winds
Sweeping across the bitter cold sea
Land lay beneath a covering of snow, exhale icicles
From your soul, breath is frozen
Exits the mouth, winds pound flesh, night draws close.
