Irreversible's first ep entitled "Age" hits the listener with a barrage of labyrinthine and impenetrable epics, delivering stunning moments of sheer emotional devastation. As each track reaches its cathartic height, it smoothly transitions to the next, with new layers and replacements of melodies and sounds. The album is split down the middle by the third track, an alienating and disturbing song which begins playing backwards, but slowly progresses into a forward and more linear assualt on the listener. From this point on the record moves into melodious cacophonies of extremely hostile vocals and riffs. The conclusion to the album is a track saturated with what can only be described as bitter-sweet melancholia, further providing a profound impact on the listener.
