F.R.Y. is a brand new band on the Russian scene, though the musicians used to play with some rather well-known St.Petersburg heavy bands. Formed in the late summer of 2006 by Dron on guitar and vocals, Jay on guitar, and Voron on bass. In March 2007, the line-up was completed with H.D. on drums.
The band’s music style can be described (should the need be) as modern death metal, however the F.R.Y. members are against labelling. They just play what they like, combining vintage roots with modern approach and trying to answer the question “where the hell is the real head-banging sound?”
