Early in the summer of 2003 Heikki Väyrynen and Jerry Väänänen started Frozen Flame and searhed for a drummer and a bassist because they were tired of playing with just two guitars and a CD. They found a drummer on the net but he was either emotionally handicapped or just shy because he didn't reply to any of the boys' numerous contacts. Jerry and Heikki continued their search and it bore fruit. The boys found a drummer named Niila. With Niila they got a new rehearsal place which was sited in a bombproof shelter in a Pentecostalist parish hall. They practised few times but were still pissed off because they hadn't a bassist yet. Owning to the fact Heikki contacted his very good friend Safa - whom he had gone to school with - and asked him to join the band as a guitarist. Safa's sister had a bass she didn't use, so, Heikki became the bassist and singer.
