EVEMASTER blend a heady mixture of Doom Metal with strong traits of Death and even Black Metal to achieve their sound. Essentially the band is a duo, founded in Pohjola during 1996, of vocalist Jarno Taskula and multi instrumentalist Tomi Mykkänen. EVEMASTER's first demo cassette, 'In Thine Majesty', would prove so successful it would be later re-pressed as a CD EP.A deal was struck with the Finnish KTOK label for debut album 'Lacrimae Mundi'.Sessioning on this release would be keyboard player Ansi Kippo, MORTAL GOD guitarist Timo Laihanen and vocalist Nazgul von Armageddon of arch Black Metal
band HORNA. The album would be subsequently re-released in digipack format by Polish label AMP Records.
The EVEMASTER duo recruited a live band for gigs in 1999 consisting of guitarist/vocalist T. Vaittinen, bass player M. Gran, keyboard player E. Huikuri and drummer M. Neuvonen. With this line-up EVEMASTER performed at the Katowice 'Metal Maniacs' festival in Poland during May.Toward the end of 2001 EVEMASTER assembled once again to cut an EP 'Wither',recorded at Astia Studios with producer Anssi Kippo, for new label Vortex Motion. The record included a cover version of TAROT's 'Wings Of Darkness',complete with TAROT, SINERGY and VIRTUOCITY man Marco Hietala lending vocal support. Other studio guests included drummer Jasko Raatikainen of CHILDREN OF
BODOM, GRAIN vocalist M. Lindberg and MORTAL GOD guitarist Timo Laihanen once again.The band, signing to Rising Realm Records, would completely re-record their debut album for a February 2005 release, re-titling said opus as 'MMIV Lacrimae Mundi'. Featuring an extra track in a cover version of DIO's 'We Rock' the revised version once more saw Jaska Raatikainen from CHILDREN OF BODOM manning
the drums.Tomi Mykkänen temporarily joined Fantasy Metal band BATTLELORE for European tour dates in October.
