DEVIL'S PIE BIOGRAPHY
The History
Devil’s Pie was born in Normal, Illinois during the sweltering fall of 2005. Spawning from boredom and hatred; Basser Joe Boland, guitarer Stix Zabawa and drummist Dan Schuessler pooled their artistic energies to create a sound that all would come to know and love. After some time they brought in lead guitarer Christopher LoPinto to add some flavor to their already ass kickin’ hot sound. They soon wrote a slew of songs and needed a singer. Brandon Blood of Carnivale worked until band schedules conflicted. Brent L. filled in and Devil’s Pie had some of their first, most intense shows in basements and VFW’s. After a few shows, artistic differences forced Devil’s Pie to find a new singer. Richie Young came into the picture after he was having troubles with his band Arailius due to a serious lack of hatred. After a couple shows, the band felt good with the lineup and recorded their first three song demo and produced it independently. Not too long after they recorded a full length independently and things started moving along.
With the artistic genius of Devil’s Pie released upon the masses, word spread quickly and they blew many minds and loads at many shows in the year of 2006. Slowly but surely their songs have become more party and less sharty. Rippin’ bongs and strippin’ thongs, that’s how they roll. Although two members of Devil’s Pie are straight edge, they are definitely not a straight edge band yet they all do support the legalization of marijuana. Devil’s Pie is a band bent on destroying the bullshit conservative norms of society and having a good time in the process.
