Devian was founded by Legion and Emil Dragutinovic after their departure from MARDUK in their strife to come up with a new breed or wretched scandinavian Metal. Together with guitarists Joinus, Markus Lundberg and bassplayer Tomas Nilsson 70 minutes of original music was recorded during the spring of 2007 taking focus off the blastbeating using a wider palette of sounds from slow grinding gloom to exploding primal fury raising the standard of their body of work in a sharpely tuned firewind or strong brutal songs driven by Emil Dragutinovics brilliant pummeling percussionism, fueled by Tomas Nilssons pounding yet virtuous stringbending with hellbound sweeping riffing, soaring, somber dark intense melodies and a whirling vortex of shredding leadguitars from Joinus topped off with Legions savage roars and lyrical darkness - Devian is an unstoppable organic machine driven by a raving hunger and deadset determination.
