DARKNESS REMAINS BIOGRAPHY
Princeton, West Virginia Death Metal band. Established during 2001, DARKNESS REMAINS, forged whilst members were still attending Princeton Junior High School, first numbered guitarist Mark Masri, second guitarist John Fralick and drummer Josh White. This unit, entitled INHUMANE, fractured and ENSCRIPTION then rose up, pulling in RAYA drummer Matt Tote. As the band evolved into DARKNESS REMAINS vocalist Jeff Griffith and bassist Curtis Henson made up the numbers.
Tribunal Records issued the February 2002 debut album 'To Touch The Depths Of Sorrow', after which Griffith took his leave. Follow up 'Lamia' arrived in February . In late summer 2004, guitarist Mark Masri and Curtis Hensen decided to quit do to personal issues.
Reformulating, the group drew in ABYSMAL DEPTHS man Bob Chapman on guitar. Travis Cook, previously of FALSE HOPE, offered his services on bass guitar. These new members had switched instruments in order to join, both having been formerly employed as drummers. However, Cook soon opted out and in February 2004 Erik Harvey took on bass duties. In late 2006 darkness remains decided to call it quits leaving two great records to continue on.
