Blood Red Throne is a Norwegian death metal band which formed in 1998 by the guitarists Død and Tchort, both ex members of the Norwegian black metal band, Emperor. They were then joined by the drummer Freddy Bolsø, bass player Erlend Caspersen. Mr. Hustler joined as their vocalist. A demo was recorded in 2000, DeathMix 2000.

Later, Monument of Death was recorded and released in 2001. 2002 saw the release of a mini album, A Taste For Blood. Freddy Bolsø left the band due to his commitments to his work and was replaced by Espen “Beist” Antonsen.

The next album, Affiliated With the Suffering was released in 2003. The band signed to Earache later that year and released their first album for that label, Altered Genesis in 2004.

In July 2006, their vocalist, Mr Hustler, announced his departure from the band due to his work commitments which had forced him to cancel some shows. Vald and Anders Haave were welcomed into the band as vocalist and drummer respectively in October 2006.

In February 2007 the band went to record their new album, and is currently being mixed and mastered for a release late this year. At present no other details are known of this new record.
