2007 is looking like a big year for Melbourne's Black Like Vengeance. 2006 saw the band go from newbies to frontrunners in the local metal scene in the space of 10 months. After a respectable number of live shows and the independent release of their four-track CD in November 2006, the band are looking to release their debut EP [currently in pre-production] on a record label, and take the next big step onto the national circuit.
Emerging from the gloom in 2005, these purveyors of Port Phillip Bay Area Thrash and Scandistralian Metal hit the Melbourne live scene early in 2006 and immediately made an impact. Their confidence as performers grew throughout the year, racking up 20-odd shows in the space of 10 months, including two trips to Adelaide, as well as many high-profile local shows. The Vengeance command your attention live. Their energetic and charismatic performances, as well as their mix of brutality, melody and screaming guitar solos, separate them from the pack, cementing their reputation as a vicious force in the Australian metal scene.

In their short life span, the Vengeance have already shared the stage with the likes of Psycroptic, Daysend, Double Dragon, Truth Corroded, Switchblade, In Name And Blood, Captain Cleanoff, A Secret Death, The Rivalry, Truth Corroded, The Abandonment, Jungle Fever and many other top names in Australian metal and hardcore.
