AVANTASIA BIOGRAPHY
"Avantasia" was founded in 1999 and is the side-project of the "Edguy"-singer Tobias Sammet. He published two concept albums ("The Metal Opera", "The Metal Opera Pt. II"), which structures are very similar to the one of an opera. Both can be classified with power metal and/or symphonic metal. After the second album, Sammet announced that he would not publish any more Avantasia albums. However, it was announced on the 28th of December 2006 on Tobias Sammet's homepage that a third Metal Opera is to be made. The album will have the title "The Scarecrow". It will be released on the end of January 2008. On November 16th 2007 two 6 tracks albums "Lost In Space part 1" and "Lost In Space part 2" will be released.
