The music of Annatar can be described as melodic dark metal, somewhere between gothic metal, doom metal and power metal. Bands like Children of Bodom, Nightwish and Iron Maiden are sources of inspiration.

Quite recently Annatar released their last cd: Quest for Reality.
The cd contains seven songs among others: titletrack Quest for Reality, Our Embrace and Perception.

Annatar consists of: Madicken de Vries (Lead Vocals), Mischa van der Hout (Guitar and Vocals), Johan van Heusden (Guitar and Backing Vocals), Bram Quettier (Drums), Alex van den Heuvel (Bass) and Wietse Braam (Synthesizers).

Through the years, Annatar has played on several sold-out shows with After Forever, Epica, Imperia and Autumn, furthermore the band played on festivals like Rotorock (Berkel & Rodenrijs), Enclave Fantasty (Baarle-Hertog/ Baarle-Nassau), Occultfest (Hoogeveen) and Westerpop: Peter Tetteroo Bokaal (Delft) and Brainwash 4u&u (Hoofddorp).
