1)Abscess is a Death Metal band that also combines some Grindcore and Punk Metal to their sound. Filthy as hell, insane and RAW.
Born from the ashes of Autopsy, the band features most of its former members, and most important of all Chris Reifert, the drummer-vocalist, with his legendary vicious-wicked yells. Less serious than Autopsy, because of the i-don't-give-a-fuck attitude (which gives the band a sort of filthy punk feeling) most lyrics remain sick and "tormented". The band is more active than ever and has recently released "Horrorhammer" still as filthy as ever.

2)Abscess is an electro-industrial band out of Germany, they released their first album in 1995 called "In Your Mind" on Glasnost Records. They released their second album, "Journey" on the same label the following year. For their their third and final known album "Punishment and Crippled Reality", they moved to the legendary Zoth Ommog label in 1999. This was reprinted that same year on the Gashed! label. They have also made several compilation appearances.
